4/9/25 Update | Justin Bohner

Hey everyone,

I want to take a moment to introduce myself here and, hopefully, open a door for further conversation about Heritage Bible Church. 

My name is Justin Bohner, and I have been involved at Discover Church as a teaching pastor for the past year. I have been married to the wonderful Linnette Bohner for 7 years and am the father of Mason, Avett, and Ashlee (11, 5, and 4, respectively). They are the joy of my life and the focus of much of my time. I am a writer/content producer at Kavod Family Ministries, a local non-profit dedicated to restoring families and transforming our community by producing God-honoring content, geared mainly at men. I have been involved in pastoral ministry for the past 3 years and have had the pleasure of preaching, teaching, and counseling during that time. 

Over the last few years, a God-given desire has grown within me to see a robust Reformed expression of Christ’s Church birthed here in Franklin. With other like-minded men, that desire and vision was acted on when we came to Discover Church last year. It was our hope and prayer to come alongside Discover in our common goal to see the Church grow and expand in Franklin. It is with great delight that I can say that is what has happened, as we are launching out of Discover with their blessing. It means much to us to be under the blessing of an established church as we paddle out onto this unknown sea. We desire to be a community of whole Christians who apply the whole gospel to the whole of life.

As we embark on this journey, we are beyond excited at the prospect of having you join us. We aren’t trying to have some one-off fad of a church; we truly want to build a generational church that serves not only us today, but our great-grandchildren 100 years from now. 

How You Can Be Involved

Attend the Info Meetings: 

These meetings will be held at 12:30 in the Studio space at Discover Church on 4/13, 5/18, and 6/29. This will be a great time to hear from Casey, Sam, and I on some church culture distinctive, as well as some time for questions and answers from you all.

Pray:

• For wisdom for the Elders of Heritage Bible Church.

• That God would provide a building for us to gather when we launch.

• For a smooth process in securing our legal documentation (501(c)(3), EIN number, bank account, and other logistics).

• For continued faith and charity for the Elders, Staff, and congregation of Discover Church.

• For our families during this time of transition.

Give:While we await the completion of our legal documentation, Discover Church has graciously set up a giving account for our church plant. If you feel led to support us financially, you can do so by writing a check to Discover Church and designating it to “Church Plant Giving.”

We look forward to sharing more details with you in the coming weeks. Your prayers and support mean the world to us, and we are excited to see how God may be calling you to partner with us on this journey.
