5/14/25 Update | Sam Vargas

Hi all,

Sam here! It's hard to believe it's already been a month since our first church plant info meeting. I wanted to share some personal updates, as well as exciting news about Heritage Bible Church.

Family UpdateOn April 26th, my wife gave birth to our third child—Georgia Grace Vargas. She has been a beautiful addition to our family, and we praise God for how He will work His plans in her life. We are incredibly thankful for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Thank you all for the love and support you've shown our family in so many ways—we are truly blessed to have such a strong community around us!

Church UpdateI'm pleased to let you know that we’ve successfully filed the legal paperwork for Heritage Bible Church with the state, and we are now awaiting approval. We anticipate receiving official legal status within the next month!

Info Meeting ReminderThis Sunday, May 18th, we will host two information

meetings, and you are welcome to attend whichever works best for you:

• 10:30 AM — between first and second services, in the Studio

• 12:30 PM — after the second service, also in the Studio

These meetings will be a time for Justin, Casey, and I to further clarify the mission and vision of Heritage Bible Church and provide space for questions and discussion. We look forward to seeing you and your family there!

Please Pray

• For wisdom for the elders of Heritage Bible Church

• That God would provide a building for us to gather in when we launch

• For a smooth process in securing our legal documentation (501(c)(3), EIN, bank account, and other logistics)

• For continued faith and unity among the elders, staff, and congregation of Discover Church

• For our families during this season of transition
